Active ingredient: Clarithromycin 500mg
Mechanism Of Action: It’s a semi- synthetic derivative of erythromycin A. It exerts its antibacterial action by binding to the 50s ribosomal sub unit of susceptible bacteria and suppresses protein synthesis. It is active against a wide variety of aerobic and anaerobic gram +ve and gram -ve organisms.

Indications: Upper Respiratory Tract Infection (Sinusitis and Pharyngitis), Lower Respiratory Tract Infection (Pneumonia, Active and Chronic Bronchitis), Skin & skin structure infections, Disseminated Mycobacterial infections due to Mycobacterium avium or Mycobacterium intracellular.
Dose:
Adult: 250mg twice daily, in severe infections 500mg twice daily for up to 14 days
Child: 7.5mg/kg b.d
