Mechanism Of Action: Rabeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It binds to H+/K+-exchanging ATPase (proton pump) in gastric parietal cells, thereby blocking both basal and stimulated acid secretion.

Dose:
Adult: Active duodenal ulcer/ Active benign gastric ulcer- 20mg once daily in the morning up to 4 weeks.
Erosive/ Ulcerative gastro-oesophageal reflux disease- 20mg once daily for 4-8 weeks.
Long term management of gastro-oesophageal reflux disease- 10-20mg once daily.
