DYCOLEV Tablet

Active Ingredient: Levofloxacin 500mg

Mechanism of action: Group 3 quinolone with improved activity against Strep. Pneumonia and Staph. Aureus. It is a synthetic anti-bacterial agent of the floroquinolone class, and the L-isomer of ofloxacin. It inhibits topoisomerase IV and DNA gyrase enzymes required for DNA replication, transcription repair and recombination.

Indications: Pneumonia (nosocomial and community acquired), Acute bacterial sinusitis, Acute bacterial exacerbation of  chronic bronchitis, Complicated and uncomplicated skin and structure, Chronic bacterial prostatitis, Complicated and uncomplicated urinary tract infections, Acute pyelonephritis.

Dose: Adult-500-750mg daily
