Active ingredient: Ofloxacin 200mg

Mechanism of action: Group 2 quinolone antibiotic, that inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase, which in turn Inhibits DNA replication & transcription, DNA repair, recombination and transposicion, causing bacterial cell death. It’s a fluroquinolone, that exhibits potent activity against gram-ve bacilli including P. aeruginosa and many gram +ve bacteria excluding Strep. Pneumonia.

Indications: Bacterial infections due to Ofloxacin sensitive pathogens. RTI’S including ENT infections, Infections of skin & soft tissue, Infections of the abdominal cavity including the pelvis, minor bacterial enteritis, Infections of the kidneys, urinary tract and genital organs including gonorrhea.

Dose: Adult: 200mg b.d
